Suboxone Doctor in Miami: Dr. Mitchell’s Clinic

Vaping and Addiction
by Dr. Robert Ben Mitchell, D.O. - 786-262-5750

When vapes (electronic cigarettes) became popular, I researched what was in them, how they worked, and found:

1. Vapes are not dry smoke like cigarettes. They are wet vapor which makes you prone to pneumonia.

2. Vapes are not regulated, so manufactures can put anything into them and say anything they want about them.

3. Vapes can be useful to stop smoking cigarettes, but they are not a safe alternative to smoking cigarettes.

I explain to my patients that smoking cigarettes is like having your whole house on fire, but vaping is like having one room on fire: it’s a step in the right direction, but only for short-term use (2-3 months tops). I also remind them to stop vaping immediately if they get a cough, cold or any breathing problems, to avoid pneumonia.

Sadly, like the murder-for-money Sackler Family - owners of Purdue Pharma - who made billions killing tens-of-thousands of people with Oxycontin, the Vape industry, pursing their own billions, has addicted millions of people, including children (Fruit-Loop-Flavored vapes - really?), to long-term e-cigarette use, regardless of whom they maim or kill. Even sadder, we have nearly a century of research on cigarette hazards, the vape studies are just now being done real-time, using your lungs, and the results will not be good.

Vaping: just another drug, just another addiction, like cigarettes and Oxycontin.
